Alpa has an important role to play and a responsibility to ensure that immigrants can integrate successfully. As a member of the Est en Est initiative’s steering committee, our Executive Director Marie-Laure Konan took part in the mission to Ottawa. During the visit, the delegation had the privilege of meeting with a number of decision makers, ministers, parliamentary secretaries, opposition representatives and cabinet members. It was an exceptional opportunity to discuss issues and proudly represent Montreal East.

ALPA would like to thank Soraya Martinez Ferrada and her team for facilitating several of these meetings, as well as the Chambre de commerce de l’Est de Montréal and all the members of the delegation.

We look forward to seeing the positive impacts of this visit at the Sommet de l’Est on November 13.
